Ubiquitous Sensor Network Navigator
A shared interface turns activity across the MIT Media Lab into sound, images, and touch.
About the work
The Ubiquitous Sensor Network Navigator combines real-time data, sound, and images from 45 sensor nodes distributed throughout the MIT Media Lab. Visitors can sense overall activity or explore media from particular locations through visual, aural, and haptic feedback.
The project was shown at Ars Electronica in Linz in 2009 and in Defy Gravity at the MIT Media Lab in 2011–2013.
