Suspend-sion
A button begins a countdown beneath a suspended plate, building toward a break that never happens.
About the work
A plate hangs above broken shards, held by an electrical clamp connected to a blue button. Pressing the button starts a countdown that accelerates toward its end, then does nothing.
The installation uses the expectation of a dropped plate to explore curiosity and the desire to test an apparent risk.
