Three solar-powered devices use sunshine for deliberately circular or futile tasks.
About the work
Solar Absurdities brings together three devices: a music box playing You Are My Sunshine, a pump moving ocean water onto land, and a light that works only during the day.
Each converts sunlight into an activity whose purpose is open to question. The devices were shown at the Bumpkin Island Art Encampment in the Boston area.
