Visitors imitate the previous participant’s face and leave a new expression for the next person.
About the work
A photo booth presents each seated participant with the face of the previous visitor. The participant imitates that expression and then makes a new face for the next person, creating a chain of portraits.
The original system posted the paired images to @PhoneFacePhoto. Also described by the artist as “social photo booth; chain of visages,” the work was shown in Interactive Playground at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
