BlabDroid
Small interviewing robots invite people to tell their stories for an experimental documentary.
About the work
BlabDroid: Robots in Residence uses preprogrammed robots to interview people and record their responses. The project investigates the tendency to attribute human understanding to a machine and asks how that relationship can change documentary storytelling.
The project was developed with filmmaker Brent Hoff. It later appeared in the touring exhibition Hello, Robot.
