An ordinary desk bell responds with the unexpected blast of a car horn.
About the work
A hotel desk bell is placed on a pedestal without instructions. When a visitor presses its plunger, a car horn sounds.
The work uses a familiar object to expose assumptions about function. The person who activates it becomes part of the spectacle for other visitors.
